Staycation at The Westin Pushkar

I went on a mini staycation a few weeks ago, to Westin’s new property in Pushkar, Rajasthan. If you’ve seen my Instagram or Snapchat, the picture of my breakfast in our private indoor pool on our first morning there was one of my favourite experiences, and hands down my favourite way to have breakfast ever!

So today I’m sharing my highlights from the stay with you, along with a few images we took in and around the stunning property.

Pushkar is Located in Rajasthan and is not a metro city which is why I had to fly down from Mumbai to Jaipur and then a drive from Jaipur Airport to the Westin Pushkar. It might seem like a long travel however the flight lasts only about an hour and a half and the 3 hour drive is quite a picturesque journey, and totally worth it once you finally make it to the resort!

As you enter Pushkar the city gives you a very cultural, ancient and vibrant vibe. And the resort property plays to that beautifully, while ensuring to maintain Westin’s standards of luxury, pampering and wellness. We were greeted with a delicious welcome drink and a camel ride waiting to take us to our Luxury Villa at sunset. I’d never sat on a camel before, so it was quite an experience!

They offer 3 types of Villas; Luxury, Premier and Royal. We stayed in a Luxury villa, and I was absolutely thrilled to see a plunge pool in the corner of our bathroom, that could easily be my favourite part of the room!
The signature Westin Heavenly Bed, which is known for it’s luxurious comfort, totally lives up to being heavenly, because I just couldn’t bring myself to wake up in the mornings, and even missed out on going for a workout/yoga session that I’d planned! Since The Westin focuses on overall wellness, they have over a 1000 square metres of dedicated fitness space, where you can rejuvenate and reenergise.

We went around the property, taking all of it in, and came back to our rooms to two trays filled with delicious breakfast items floating in our pool! To say we were excited is an understatement. After clicking a 100 pictures and Snapchatting to our heart’s content, we finally dug in.

Post breakfast, we had a fun spa experience at The Westin Heavenly Spa, where I experienced my first ever Balinese massage, and it couldn’t have been better!

We also went down to the scenic swimming pool during our stay, and the super friendly staff set up some of the cutest pool floaties for our swim session! Instagram junkies, that pool, with the floats in it, is what dreams are made of haha!

We also visited the Pushkar Brahma temple, which is only about a 20 minute drive from the hotel, after which we explored Pushkar’s markets and then went on for a dinner and drinks session in the dunes, which was the perfect way to wrap up the perfect trip.

With a panoramic view of the surrounding Aravalli hills, easy access to Pushkar and it’s temples, delicious food, recreation centres, indoor theatres, and so so much more, The Westin Pushkar is the perfect place for a weekend getaway, where you can not only focus on wellness, but be rest assured to be pampered to the fullest! The property is also ideal for any inspiring event, from intimate business meetings and company retreats to extravagant gala functions and spectaular weddings! For those looking to relax and enjoy a reprieve from the heat plight, book one of the 24 Luxury villas or 20 Royal villas. While each of the former has its own indoor plunge pool, each of the latter is spread over 105 sq mts and has a private outdoor pool to cool off in.

I will be talking about my dining experience in an upcoming post, because I’ve eaten such good food on this trip, that it most definitely needs some attention of its own.
