Cami, Blazer – H&M, Necklace – Colaba, Jeans – Forever21, Sunglasses – Accessorize, Shoes – Singapore (Bugis street), On my lips – Mac Heroine
The print on print trend has been around for quite a while now. Even though bold experimental fashion always excites me, I was a little apprehensive about mixing prints and whether I would be able to pull it off. I finally decided to overcome this anxiety, because, better late than sorry, right?
I started this outfit with the shoes for a change. I wore these animal print flats and decided to wear a printed top to make the outfit a little more fun. As I mentioned in my previous post, I love camisoles. If I could have my way, I’d wear a different cami every day for the rest of the summer! I wore this snakeskin camisole that I found at the H&M store in London. H&M has been one of my favourite brands ever since I was 14, and it is devastating that they haven’t come to India yet! Although, there is news of them opening their first store here later this year! (fingers crossed!) So, every time I travel, I make it a point to go to an H&M store at least twice, just to make sure I don’t miss out on something amazing!
I paired the camisole with a monochrome striped blazer that I got from H&M as well. I have recently realised that, when mixing prints, stripes are the easiest because they go with almost everything! I’ve tried them with florals, animal prints and other stripes as well, and they’ve matched perfectly well each time!
I added colour to my outfit with a purple necklace and mirrored sunnies to match. While working on this look, this outfit definitely did not look good in my head, but I was really happy with the way it turned out! And now, every time I wear an outfit that doesn’t include more than one print, it just seems boring!
