Modern Mariner

My love for all things nautical won’t come as news to you guys I’m sure. The perfect combination of white, blue and red, all coming together with stripes. The amount of nautical looks I’ve put together in the past year on my blog are only more proof of how much I love the trend.
This season, ONLY’s taken nautical styles up a notch and given them a modern twist, that I’m totally loving! The entire collection has a very relaxed, carefree vibe, with a lot of fun elements like rope trims, floral infused stripes, vintage denims and an almost washed out feel. And since I’ve recently been quite obsessed with co-ordinate pieces, this striped chambray cami top paired with chambray pants, both in the same print, immediately caught my eye. Not only is the outfit super comfortable, I also loved shooting against the wooden background, to play towards the nautical theme, and the checked flooring only added that aesthetic print clash. Nude shoes and a nude lip later, my look was complete. I loved the entire look, and could totally wear it all day, be it to a casual meeting, a Sunday brunch, or even a sundowner for that matter.
