Life Is A Beautiful Sport

Although I don’t play tennis, I’ve always felt a close connection with the sport, which I’ve mentioned a couple times before as well. One of my favourite things about the game is the fashion. And needless to say, Lacoste is a brand that brings the two together effortlessly. (They even created a collection in collaboration with Novak Djokovic and even though it’s an all men’s range, I’m in half a mind to grab something for myself haha!)
Before I talk about what I’m wearing, I’d like to show a little love to their SS’18 runway collection that recently showcased in Paris. After 14 years of showcasing their ready-to-wear pieces on the runways of New York, Lacoste returned to Paris this year, and what a show it was! Every piece stays true to the brand’s timeless style of being comfortable, chic, full of movement and innovation. Here are a few of my favourites from the runway, that are totally on my wishlist right now!

The brand turns 85 soon, and all my years growing up, I’ve seen my mother wear their clothing and shoes so often, and have always been in love with their sporty urban vibe, and of course the adorable logo! Give me sports-inspired clothing, and I’ll be all over it haha! So I dropped by their store and picked out this dress that instantly caught my eye from their fall/winter collection. I’d normally wear their polo tees cause they’re not just symbolic of the brand, but also very comfortable and chic to wear on a daily basis. But for this post, I opted for this polo collared colour block dress because it’s unlike something you’ve ever seen me wear, and there’s nothing I love more than experimenting! With winter on it’s way, sweater dresses are my absolute go-to, and this one’s in a very breathable jersey fabric, so it’s got you covered for our unpredictable Bombay weather too. The dress has a flared cut, but I really liked how it fitted just that little bit around the waist, to make the entire effect more flattering. This super cute canvas bag also caught my eye at the store, so I decided to tag it along, because I absolutely couldn’t resist on that crocodile! I then added white boots and a pair of earrings to complete the look.
Take a look at the images we shot, cause I absolutely loved how they turned out! I haven’t enjoyed styling and shooting an outfit this much in a while, and I hope you like the final outcome! You can shop their collection online and in stores!
