Abu Dhabi Experience – Part 2

I hope you guys enjoyed the first part of my Abu Dhabi experience. I’m going to get straight to the point now, and talk about my last two days of the trip.

For day 3 in Abu Dhabi, we visited the Emirates Palace hotel property, where we would get a tour of the hotel, followed by lunch. I had never been there before, but had heard so many good things about it. Seeing it in person though, I was blown away by how beautiful the entire property is. We toured the grounds, the pool area, the Marina and also got access to the view from the Palace Suites. Everything was beautiful. We then had our first ever Emirati meal at Mezlai at The Emirates Palace, and despite being a vegetarian, I can tell you that the food was delicious. Don’t forget to try the … dessert if you happen to go there.

We then made our way to Ferrari World, which Siddhanth and I were too excited about. They have the fastest roller coaster in the world there, called Formula Rosa, and if you love your thrilling rides, you’ve got to go on this! I had been on it a few years ago, but couldn’t wait to go again. They also had a new ride called Flying Aces, which
is just as thrilling as Formula Rossa, if not more. We also spotted an Indian chaat counter, which was just the perfect way to fill our stomachs! Attached to Ferrari World, was YAS Mall, where you can basically find every single brand you can think of. They had Topshop, Zara, H&M, River Island and the works. They even had a Bath and Body Works. And you know me, I’ve got to get my scented candles!
After Ferrari World, I was absolutely exhausted and starving, and we made our way back to the hotel to get some lebanese dinner. We went to Mijana at The Ritz Carlton. I had one of my favourite lebanese dishes, Batata Hara, with fresh bread, a glass of Bailey’s and some sheesha, and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend our last night in the city.

For our last day in Abu Dhabi, we went to Saadiyat Island. Starting off with Manarat Al Saadiyat, a centre that exhibits art and culture of the city, and also hosts an modern art fair. We witnessed very intriguing pieces of modern art, and had an informative session learning Abu Dhabi’s history. After this, we had our last experience of the trip, which was so heartbreaking. I really didn’t want to leave! We spent a few hours at Saadiyat Beach Club. It was so peaceful and relaxing, and we had the best afternoon, just unwinding, listening to music, swimming and chilling by the beach, after which we went back to our hotel to check out and leave for the airport.

Abu Dhabi, you charmed me with your beauty, your gorgeous architecture and your amazing food, and Siddhanth and I can’t wait to be back. A massive thank you to the tourism board for pampering us throughout. I hope you guys enjoyed the post. Have a great week ahead!
