The Lucent Magique blush in Sunset Glow seemed like the perfect product for a natural finish on the cheeks, that would be totally apt to add a little warmth and glow to the entire face!
My love for makeup knows no bounds. I could literally spend all day reading about new makeup launches or upcoming trends, making mental notes of all the products I want to buy, or even watching makeup related videos on YouTube! So you can imagine my excitement when I came home to a huge festive box of makeup from L’oreal.
If you follow me on Snapchat, you’ve probably already seen all the products shown here because I did a pretty detailed unboxing there. The festive collection focuses on makeup trends for the woman who is all about flaunting her individuality for the festive time of the year, with tonnes of glamour!
Before we get into the look I’m sporting today, here’s everything I received in my festive box!
Starting with the Infallible 24H foundation. I have raved about this foundation in quite a few of my videos, so it goes without saying that this one is a personal favourite and something I have recommended to people on numerous occasions. I received the shade 120 Vanilla and was a little skeptical of how it would match my skin tone, but it actually matched me perfectly! It provides very impressive coverage, blends in beautifully and lasts all day!
Next, we’re onto the La Palette Nude eyeshadow palette. I’ve used the Beige palette before, and really wanted to get my hands on the Rose version as well, and I was very impressed. It’s got a great variety of shades to suit every occasion!
Next, I got the Super Liner Gel Intense in the shades Sapphire Blue and Diamond Black. I haven’t used gel liner in a while now, and almost everyone I meet recommends that I give it a shot because of it’s easy application and longitivtiy. And I’ve been wanting to experiment with my eyeliner a little, so I’m quite thrilled to give the blue one a shot soon!
Now onto lipsticks, there’s quite an array of beautiful tones of red here, with a little pink and orange too, in so many different finishes! I received the shades Ravishing Red, Blaze of Red, Pure Scarleto, Raspberry Syrup, Ruby Opera and Orange Tempo.
The Super Liner Perfect Slim has been one of my favourite eyeliners to create my everyday winged eye look since before it launched in India. It has the best felt tip and beautiful pigment, that lasts all day!
I’ve heard so much about the Color Riche Le Smoky pencils and how they help create an easy and effortless smokey eye. I received the shades Black Velour and Antique Green. I have been obsessing over anything and everything remotely close to olive this season, and this pencil is no different. The colour is gorgeous and as soon as I saw it, I couldn’t wait to use it!
I also received the Volume Million Lashes mascara in extra-black. Mascara is my favourite step while I’m doing my makeup. It immediately pulls the whole look together, and the wand of this one looked very interesting!
The box contained a note from Sonam, along with all these products to help me create my own take on Barbara Palvin’s #FestiveFever look!
Now I was quite nervous to begin with, since I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to create a graphic eye look, let alone pull it off. But I was quite happy with the way it turned out!
I started off with the Infallible foundation, which gave me that perfect base for my makeup, and immediately went onto the eyes, since that was the thing I was most nervous about!
From the La Palette Nude in Rose, I used the two shades indicated above over my entire eyelid, before I started to create the graphic eye liner look using the Super Liner Perfect Slim. I began by creating my basic everyday winged eye, and then slowly and steadily drew onto my crease. I was quite pleased with myself, and decided to go ahead with the next step. I used the Le Smokey eye pencil in Black Velour on my waterline, before going to town with the Volume Million Lashes mascara on my upper and lower lashline (the mascara is amazing btw!).
Then, I used the lighter shade of the Lucent Magique blush to create that naturally flushed and glowing look on my cheeks, and also built up the darker shade under my cheekbones for some subtle definition. I finally completed the look with the Moist Matte lipstick in Raspberry Syrup. I love the shade because it has that perfect balance of red and pink, and goes really well with my skin tone.
I loved the way this look turned out so much, and with Diwali tomorrow, I might just sport it myself! I love how edgy and fun it is and is a welcome change for the festive season, and I hope you guys liked it too! If you try this out, don’t forget to share your looks with me on Instagram! Have a safe and lovely Diwali!
