United Colors Of Benetton A/W’15 – The Snob Journal

United Colors Of Benetton A/W’15

Although we don’t have much of an ‘autumn’ here, autumn fashion is probably my favourite. I love the colours, and I’m always super intrigued to see the different styles and prints that brands have to offer for fall.

The A/W’15 collection at United Colors of Benetton consisted of a very well balanced amalgamation of various colours and prints. I especially loved the nautical hint they had to some of their pieces. The colours didn’t involve the patent hues you would expect for fall, but more of a fresh twist while keeping the autumnal feel alive. With monochrome florals, houndstooth, and some super comfy basics, the collection was very impressive and different.

I’ve put together two looks with some of my favourites from this collection. Don’t forget to tell me what you think of them and which one’s your favourite!

Top, Kimono, Bag – United Colors of Benetton; Shorts – Forever21; Shoes – MakeMeChic; Sunglasses – Colaba; on my lips – Mac Kinda Sexy
My first look channels my monochrome and floral print obsession perfectly. This print was my favourite from the collection, and I was initially going to go with a dress, but when I spotted the kimono and tee in the same print, I immediately thought of pairing those together instead. I was a little unsure of how it would look, but I’m really happy with the way it turned out. I then added some autumnal hues with the bag, and finished the look off with my gold snakeskin shoes.

Shirt, Skirt, Bag – United Colors of Benetton; Corset – Shimmer in Lokhandwala; Shoes – Done by None; Sunglasses – Colaba; on my lips – Charlotte Tilbury Sexy Sienna

For my second look, I took the nautical route, with a hint of coral. While browsing through some of the nautical themed pieces at the store, I noticed that they didn’t have any traces of red, unlike what I would generally expect. Instead, the pieces had incorporated hints of coral, which was a welcome change to the nautical vibe. I worked in a little print on print with the striped maxi skirt and an anchor print shirt layered over a corset. I completed the look with this super fun coral and navy blue striped drum bag, that was one of the first pieces that caught my eye when I entered the store!
