Skirt, Ring, Bracelets, Clutch, Sunglasses – www.fancypantsthestore.com; Top – Cotton on; Shoes – Primark; on my lips – Mac Please Me
As I mentioned in my previous post, I’m more than ready for spring this time! While all the spring pieces from my (extremely small) wardrobe make their way from the back to the front again, I’m still not completely ready to let go of my favourite things from winter, faux leather being one of them.
When I saw this skirt on fancypantsthestore.com, I knew it would be one of those perfect transition pieces. The length being longer than your usual skater, but shorter than your usual midi, makes it stand out for me. Not only is it a good transition from winter to spring, but it’s also versatile enough to transition from day to night! Although the skirt is a pastel shade, the faux leather makes it completely apt for the night. With super chunky gold jewellery and a gorgeous contrast clutch, just ditch the sunglasses, and you’re left with a perfect night look for the season! You know my love for stripes, I fell for the clutch the minute I saw it! On the other hand, if you wear the skirt with a button down and these cute butterfly sunglasses, you’ve got yourself an amazing spring brunch look. I’d personally wear the jewellery in the day too! I loved the skirt because it’s super lightweight and comfortable for an easy transition.
Make sure you visit FancyPants, they have some really fun prints for spring if faux leather isn’t really your way to go. Do you have any such pieces in your wardrobe that stand out? Don’t forget to tell me in the comments below! I hope you have a lovely weekend!
